Bharat’s academic career began with full-time faculty positions at universities in the United States and Mexico. He developed and taught a wide range of courses, including architectural design, systems of visual order, architectural graphics, housing typologies, urban planning, construction methods and materials, and principles of structures. His contributions extended beyond teaching, as he engaged in funded research, presented at conferences, published in scholarly journals, and led university development initiatives such as NAAB accreditations, design competitions, and faculty recruitment.
After a lengthy sabbatical, Bharat returned to teaching as an adjunct professor at Fordham University in 2022. Throughout his career, he has continued to share his extensive knowledge and experience through conference presentations and various publications. His recent activities are as follows:
